A design element that used to be solely reserved for you grandmother's house is now tres chic.

In interior design, or all design for that matter, there are certain trends that have come and gone in popularity over the years. Who remembers shag carpets and that harvest gold (aka orange) color palette of the 70s? A few we’d rather forget forever, but others hold a certain nostalgia that is always welcome. Wallpaper is one of those interior design trends that have lived in various forms from its conception, which was around 200 B.C. when uber-stylish Chinese painted florals and landscapes on rice paper to adorn their walls. Through many iterations, generations have loved the idea of papering their walls with prints and patterns that speak to their individual style. Shea and the design team love utilizing this time-honored design element to create a space that is uniquely their client’s own, from a small-scale repeated floral motif to an abstract mountain vista. Here are some of our favorite wallpaper moments from the Studio McGee vault.
